When I get into a tv show I will either watch it till the end (Big Love, The Office) or get bored with them (Gossip Girl, Dawson’s Creek). I mostly watch movies but not too many tv shows.
COME DANCE WITH ME MICHAEL
No way! Wow, that crazy. It really is a small world. I went to Graves County High School. My mom’s friend said it was better then Mayfield High School but to this day I believe I would have liked it better :-(
Yes, I said it, I am scared shitless of seeing him in person because I will faint or say something weird. Ed is far too smart, hot, and funny, I will be very dramatic like a Morrissey fan and want to rip off his clothes. Ugh, it drives me crazy! Maybe, one day I will not be a wimp and go see him at one of shows. Then, I will say hello and run away.
Stereotypes by Blur
All Mexican people eat beans everyday, British people have horrible teeth, Asian people are all smart, and Southern americans all drive trucks. STEREO-TYPES! Believe me, I am about 70 percent Mexican and when my mom cooks Mexican food, well, it is far from it. I had a friend make fun of the way my mom makes tacos and said it was the gringa way. Even some Jewish guy I knew spoke Spanish better then I did! You see, stereo-types are not facts!
The first boy I had a crush on in school was named Arthur. He wore glasses, watched Bill Nye the Science Guy, and liked anything related to outer space. He was cute, until he told me I was ugly when I told him I liked him. Fuck him. I still think guys in glasses are smoking hot.
It’s hard and awkward for me to finish a conversation with anybody. When I get really nervous I talk even more. I use to get in trouble for talking too much in class.
I have an older brother who listens to alot of Hip Hop so growing up I either heard Rap or what ever my parents were listening to. Gin and Juice was popular when I was 5 or 6 and played on the radio everytime we took my brother to school. So one day we were in the car and I just sat there singing it to myself. Thankfully no one heard because I use to miss hear Laid back [with my mind on my money and my money on my mind] and say Lay back [with my mind on my mom and my money on my mom]. Yeah, it’s funny now but give me a break, I was 5 going on 6!

Edie is one of the reasons why I got super into the 60’s and other Warhol factory people. Something about her was intriguing and exciting to me. She was such a beautiful mess and had many issues within herself. She was one of the first “It” girls of the 60’s and still inspires the Fashion world today.
Ugh, I’m just not photogenic nor like having people take pictures of me. I always hide when family members pull out a camera.
Yeah, an accordion is not the coolest or most rock ‘n’ roll instrument but I wish I knew how to play one. It all started when I got really into Rock music in spanish and brought Julieta Venegas’ album Bueninvento. There is a song on that album called Casa Abandonada and it has the best accordion intro I have ever heard. Everytime I hear that song it makes me wish I knew how to play accordion. Julieta somehow made playing an accordion more cool and appealing to me. I love her for that!
What to love? Another belated Spring Sunday #5.
Finally, after a year of wanting to see the Diego Luna directed “Abel”, we had the pleasure of watching it. The main character, Abel, is an incredibly astute boy who begins to cope with the absence of his father in a special way, and in the interim gives his family the opportunity to begin an overdue grieving process.
The Julieta Venegas composed theme song has been on steady rotation since last year, and it encompasses the subtle sweetness, wisdom, and innocence of the wonderful film.
“Aunque se que un día
ya no volverás
no me interesa
eso lo sabía ya…”
Ever since I was a child I wanted to travel the world. I would rent books from the school library about different countries. But then years later I went to see The Motorcycle Diaries and it changed my life forever. Since seeing that movie I wanted to not only go on a trip all over the world but also write a diary about all my travels. Maybe I’m way over my head but never say never.
As weird as it might sound, yes, I people watch. When bored or just in the mood to observe people, people watching is just what the quack doctor ordered! I love seeing how people act or dress. My favorite part about people watching is when girls or dudes think they look hot but in reality they are just full of themselves. Oh, when I see those types I just try not to laugh too hard. People watching is best done at any mall or other super busy places. Why ? Because most people will not notice you watching them in a busy enviroment. Been doing this since I was about 8 and have seen some pretty wild things. Guess you can say it’s one of my favorite past times.
It’s a long story, but me,my twin sis,my mom, and her boyfriend moved to Mayfield, Kentucky when I was in the 11th grade. The only time in my life that I did not live in California. I had a good and bad experience while I lived there. It helped me see things and people in a different way. Met some nice people and had to deal with lots of questions about my race and why I left California. One of the moments in my life I will never forget. Good, bad, and the ugly.
